Bigfoot book max brooks5/26/2023 ![]() ![]() Dan (who we’re never really told he had the technological capability to do this, and we are asked to believe that him using an iPad translates to being Mr. But then, here comes Dan’s insane trap that nobody really even questions. The traps they’ve made are realistic ones: broken glass scattered, sharpened bamboo stalks, etc. ![]() They’ve readied their javelins and other weapons, and they’re using one of the Bigfoots they managed to kill in the last fight as bait for the others to wildly attack and fall into the traps. All the surviving characters have pooled their limited recourses into the common house. I’ll fast-forward to the near the end of the story. And while the climax is easily the best part of the story, it has one thing that is so ridiculous it still blows my mind after finishing the book. I recently finished “Devolution” by Max Brooks (same dude that made World War Z) which is about these residents at a technologically-advanced and secluded village called Greenloop that suddenly get stranded by a volcano eruption and now have to defend themselves against the looming threat of Bigfoot and its family. ![]()
